My mom just sent me a recipe that looks really exciting, though I'm kind of surprised to see meringues baked in such a hot oven. I may have to go out and buy some ancho powder now.

I think the oven is hotter than usual because there's melted chocolate mixed in there, not chocolate chips floating around the egg whites. I have a whole bag of Penzey's ancho chili powder if you want some. I'll never use it all.
