Backward, and particularly odd since the government there is trying to frame its non-response in terms of freedom of speech. Apparently they've been taking Democracy lessons from Sarah Palin.
I wouldn't be nearly so concerned if the government there weren't refusing to say anything against the article. They insist that it's because of "free speech," which implies that either they don't understand what that concept means or they have other motivations in keeping quiet about a blood libel.
