Buffalo is more well-known for it, perhaps. In fact, in a snowfall contest by the National Weather Service, Syracuse beat out Buffalo many a a time.

I shouldn't have spoke so soon! We had a teeny weeny bit of snow on Thursday. I saw flakes and thought, "NOOOOO! Tooearly!" and I was still wearing my spring coat!
