Everything was black. He had no recollection of who he was or how long he'd existed in this dark, unwelcoming place.
"Hey, stop napping you lazy, curly haired bastard!" *WHUMP*
He sat up quickly and the darkness disappeared. The "darkness" was actually a book of some sort that had been lying open across his face; it now sat in his lap. Most of the words on the book's cover were blurred out, except one: Jump.
"fhg-hah, I'm hungry, buy me some food!"
He starred at the girl vacantly. She had orange hair tied up in two buns that sat on either side of her head and wore Chinese style clothes. He had no idea who she was, or what the hell was wrong with her. Why were some of the words coming out all garbled!? Just then the front door slid open, and a boy wearing glasses and carrying a boken walked in.
"Ah, geh-afn, rhan-fho asked about the rent again. And it seems like gsthivz-fen wants me to give this to you."
The boy handed him a small-ish package. He shook it tentatively, and then placed it to his ear. There was a mysterious ticking sound coming from inside. Out of curiosity he opened it up and took a peek inside; his eyes were greeted by flashing red numbers. They flashed 4, then 3, 2… 1.
"OH SHI-"
There was a massive explosion and everything became very white. It lasted for only a few seconds, after which he was standing in a busy street. Wait, he was still alive and completely unharmed? He looked side to side in confusion, then picked some earwax out of his ear and blew it off his finger. The people on the street weren't all just normal humans; it seemed that mixed into the crowd were strange looking creatures. Some of the creatures looked animal like, others had orange skin and antennae, and yet others were just… He wondered if these things had always been around.
As he walked down the street he came across a group of men wearing black uniforms and carrying swords. One of these men was resting a large metal cylinder on his shoulder. Wait, wasn't it a rocket launcher? The one with the rocket launcher caught sight of him, quickly aimed, and fired. Again, there was a huge explosion and everything went white for a few seconds.
The next thing he knew, he was standing in a field. The sky was dark and corpses littered the ground, some human, others not. He was completely bewildered. He didn't know who he was, what was going on, or where he should go. He looked up at the sky and sighed.
"It's becoming a pain to live… I want to be a cheesecake..."
