Just realized the 1-2 star characters are original characters, haha. Of course I wouldn't recognize them.
Finally cleared Guy's event story after upgrading my 3-star Pascal and a couple other higher-star cards I got from the story battles. The bonus stage called Lv10 Guy I also cleared with difficulty; turns out it rewards the same Guy card. Actually Guy (3-star) has a level cap of 20 so the duplicate card serves to use in Merge, and he's now capped at level 30. (In contrast, Pascal is capped at 50 without Merging and currently raised to 45). There's 3 more Merge slots but the next stage is called Lv20 Guy and you only get another duplicate by beating Lv30 Guy >_> Died at Lv30. 1 day left to his event :(
On the other hand, Zelos event just started and the event story was a lot easier. However, Lv20 Zelos was glowing and insane and wiped me out in 2 or 3 turns. So Zelos stuck at level 20 for the foreseeable future >_>
Sad that I probably can't ever Merge them after the events end.
Oh, Guy's event story had us running into long-haired Luke, who had another blonde bodyguard that he doesn't care for and runs off ahead on his own, to the poor boy's frustration. Then we get surrounded by many bandits and Guy makes his grand entrance. After I struggled through the many battles, Luke goes "Guy yappa sugeeee!" Awww. And then he goes on to complain that Guy ran off on his personal errand, leaving him stuck with this bodyguard :< (The poor, boy, really). Guy in his easy going manner laughs and apologizes but says he still has to be on his way. The bodyguard, after grumbling about this prince to himself, collected himself and told Luke "let's move on" and got complained "why are you the one making decisions!". Then Guy said "Haha, don't say that, we should get going.." "Ok let's go!"
