she looked really good, though

That was such a waste of time. I keep saying this, but filler eps at this stage only work if they're funny. 'Monster Movie' was totally awesome. This, not so much. Furthermore, I felt a lot of the angst that was supposed to justify sticking a good old monster-of-the-week ep here came out of the left field so it could be neatly wrapped up by the end of the ep, and so instead of thinking 'good for them for addressing that!' I thought 'what the hell, you idiots'.

Paris Hilton, what the actual fuck, that was hilarious. Though, man, her acting has gotten more wooden since House of Wax. It was awkward to watch. And the jab at celebrity worship served no actual point since the point was being made plenty by it being Paris Hilton--though, on second thought, I'm criticizing SPN for a lack of subtlety. Right. Complaint withdrawn. Great use of Paris, show, though strangely enough I wish it had been in a less insignificant episode.

The teaser promises some interesting stuff! The guy Dean is gambling with for years is totally Death, isn't he? Old!Dean will totally be worth a few laughs and also, I'm curious to find out how they reverse that. The shoutouts/whatnots to other shows were awesome. The Impala as KITT! The sitcom ♥! And a creepy child: check. Dean and Castiel will have worlds about killing children, even if they're supposedly going to annihilate the good less-bad-than-the-other-side guys.

I'm also bummed out that this ep had no Misha, but that goes without saying.

Now, I think I might brave the big seasonal sale at Stockmann though I have no plans to buy anything, and if that doesn't drain me of all energy and will to live, I'll bake cinnamon rolls afterwards. For they are yummy.
