#1 I had the pleasure to spend the best part of last weekend with a bunch of my fellow fangirls, camped out on maladroitoracle's humongous couch and squeeing over old-school Supernatural. Oh, those happy times of S1 and S2! Those halcyon days of Dean's freaking non-Batman voice, for one thing. There was booze, boozetastic watching of fanvids, cuddling, epic ( Read more... )

I agree what you said about Glee! Love the music, love the silliness, the pretty people, but at the same time there's lots of things that I don't like. For example, (many of the) characters are so mean, and I like my TV shows to be somewhat lighter than what reality is.

Yes! The musical numbers are so much fun, but then almost everything else is unnecessary drama and Will's sociopath wife and AUGH RACHEL. Also, after six eps, I know next to nothing about those characters of color you'd expect to get a share of the spotlight, or Artie. I want it to be entertaining, but honestly, I'm not that entertained.

I too want to be god of the cities! One of the best superpowers ever.

I like the original Authority run and the Jenny Sparks mini, and everything else is kind of... eh. I want to like it? But eh.

I have no idea if Angie is bi or not, but Shen and Jenny definitely are. Really, I'm not sure if any of them are straight. Maybe Jack?

Seriously, who'd choose to be Superman if you can talk to cities? Not me.

I just read Revolution and I actually kind of loved it, though I suspect I would've loved it even more if by the end it hadn't been implied that The Authority's overthrowing of the US government would've been all swell is not for Bendix fucking it up. Uhm... hell no. (I secretly cheered when it went pear-shaped, angsty as that was.) Haven't read the Jenny Sparks mini but I'll make a note to get to it! &JENNY; Oh, I miss the 20th century.

I figured Jenny was pretty much yespleasesexual :D and yeah, Shen, definitely. Man, do I have to get my ire on about the books only ever being super explicit about the fact that the queer GUYS are, in fact, queer? I don't need that bit of realism in my comics, okay.
