What a day. What. A. Day.

So I went to the home yesterday after many phone calls were made. To bring everyone up to speed, the hospital gave me a few phone numbers, five to be exact. Only two of the five are still in working use. Of the two, one rings and rings and rings, and is supposedly her grandmother. The other one rings about five times and then goes to a machine ( Read more... )

I'm conflicted. Though I think what you did for Shay was incredibly selfless and kind of you, your behavior and demeanor regarding the matter kind of negates it in my opinion. Albeit, you needed to vent. I understand that, but allowing this kind of information to be posted across the internet in that way is so cruel and heartless. The entries referring to this whole incident had great detail and immensely hurtful information in them that was just not necessary to tell the world. I find this to be especially true because of the photos of Shay's dead, bloated body I saw. (Though, those were not posted to your lj and thus, I will not assume you were posted by you, but I know you must be the source.) That is just humiliating and degrading. The woman has passed and though you may feel she lived her life without dignity, let her die with some ( ... )

Wait, someone posted the pics of Shay dead? The only person who had any access to them was a friend of a friend who did some work on my comp, and I'm pretty pissed he posted them anywhere. Can you give me a link?

Here is the link: http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a204/jkiss/Z%20Fat%20Dead%20Lesbo/

Looks like Shay to me. Especially with how you described her after she passed. If it's not and it's just a coincidence, I'm sorry.

Holy hell, thank you. Not only did he raid my comp and use my pics, but he used my own photobucket account in order to upload them! I didn't notice, since I usually upload something and then only pay attention to that. They are now down, and I REALLY appreciate your telling me that they were up to begin with so I could take care of it. Thanks again!

I stumbled across the original Shay story through wtf-inc (which itself I found completely by accident while Googling something not even remotely related). At any rate, I've spent the last hour or so reading through your journal from that point on (as well as a bit prior), and I've got to praise you for your patience, strength, and compassion. Sure, you ranted about her here, but I can't see how anyone could blame you, and the fact that you helped her anyway is impressive. It is truly astonishing that you were able to at least attempt to help her, after everything you went through. I'm not sure I'd have the strength to do the same. I do find it a bit morbid that you took pictures of her body, but to be perfectly honest with you and myself, I think I might have done the same in your place.

As for finding the family, I don't know if it will be of any help, but there's a Charles Hann listed on LinkedIn, noted as being in the Cleveland area. (you do have to register with the site to view any potential contact information, but at least it's free ( ... )

i found your journal through another journal and i want to say this to you:... you've more courage and strength than any other person i know, to go beyond the normal realms of humanity and caring to ensure this woman's final arrangements were taken care of, despite all she put you and your friends through with the lies, abuse of friendship and kindness.

Thanks so much! It's really sweet of you to say. Most people just attack me for posting this in the first place.

I still do find it sad that she passed away in the convalescent home.
