My high score for Tokoton Mode on the DS Bejeweled-esque game called Zoo Keeper is 6,429,900 on Super Hard XD

A lot has happened since I last wrote. So much for being daily about it....oh well. I really should write more often so that I don't have to write these huge catch-up entries.

I suppose I'll start from about a week after I last wrote (mid October). I had my first Walla Walla Symphony (WWS) string rehearsals. This season is the symphony's centennial so we played an arrangement of Happy Birthday by Aaron Copland, a piece commissioned for the occasion by the first trumpet player, and two Tchaikovsky concertos, one with a Violinist and the other with a pianist. It is so much more fun than playing in the Whitman Symphony. The conductor is a very talented and a nice guy as well.
My parents arrived that Thursday after driving up from Portland. Wes, Tiff, and Taylor stayed there and it made me a bit sad. We had dinner at The Hat (El Sombrero) and we hung out for the day. Friday I had lunch with them and after directing them to the music building recital hall I ran off to work at the information table in the campus center. Right after I finished I went across the street to perform in the Whitman Sampler concert for the parents. They met Sensei and then I went with them back to Tri-cities to stay with them at the hotel. In the morning we went shopping. I got to go to a real mall and a Joanne's and a Target. They bought me an inflatable chair and an exercise ball for my room. It was so much fun. We went over to Chism recital hall again and watched Adam Lau's senior recital. He is such an amazing performer and he was fantastic. Funny enough we sat right next to Dr. Dixon. ^_^ Sunday we had brunch/lunch in Reid and then they left for Portland again. It was so fun to see my parents. I really missed them.
The next few weeks were very trying, because I screwed up way too many things with Rod. I didn't sleep a lot, finish work and I had to make up a test, because we spent hours and hours on the phone. I know things aren't perfect and I have to work a lot on the relationship, but I'm very thankful for his godly patience and I'm going to try so hard that I'll have no choice but to succeed! I want to make him happy so much and with the distance I'll just have to make the gap seem smaller. I really miss him but thankfully there's only a little more than a month before I can go home.
Halloween was pretty fun; because it was on a weekday most of the parties were on Saturday. We had a party as a house, we carved pumpkins and people came over in costume. They were drinking so I came upstairs early and spent most of the night on the computer. On the actual night of Halloween I practiced for an hour after orchestra and then when I got back I joined Jessica, Shirley, Matt in watching a *new* episode of House.
This past week has been pretty relaxing otherwise. I've had some time to finish making the liner for my project basket and started some small crochet projects in addition to starting knitting a new scarf. I've gotten back to taking care of my town in Animal Crossing and it's still amazing.
Next week will suck though. I'm playing in a quintet for a Fridays at 4 on the 10th of November. We're meeting every evening this week to prepare and I still need to find time to practice. In other news I also might have a few cello students from the high school which is an exciting prospect. I haven't taught since the summer and I'm really really looking forward to it <(^-^)>
