So I want to take the spreads and posters out of my anime magazines to hang them up. Is there a method to this? Cutting out with a blade or somehow separating the binding? Heating the spine so the glue lets go ( Read more... )

My method: remove the staples first, if there are any. I do this manually by prying back the staples with a knife. Then I fold the pages back at the spine folding it inside out and back a few times (usually opened to the page of whatever I want the most). With something like Afternoon I peel off the paper covering the spine, and then I take an exacto blade and from the inside pointing out, I cut out the pages. The only time I get bad results is when I'm impatient, so this should work for you if you are methodical! The only other thing I'd add is that I never try to melt off the spines, but that might work... mostly I find that peeling off the extra glue usually helps, otherwise I leavr it be.

Yeah, my animedia don't have staples, just glue. So I guess I'll take off the cover and cut the pages out neatly.
