so, spring break's almost here.

...well, more like let's have school at home week.

As per Brothwell's e-mail: "To think, you probably expected to have a real spring break :D"

Le, sensei likes rubbing salt in the wound (however true his statement likely was for many of my classmates).

Well, a fair shitton of science, a little math, English is at least reading All Quiet on the Western Front to begin our War unit (and I need to start doing research for my synthesis paper in regards to our genetic engineering/gothic literature unit), and - studying. For AP exams. Uh.

Yeah.

Countdown to May 10, 2010 has begun. AP Bio-ers and Worlders, it was good knowing you guys this year. Elizajane, you're nuts for jumping on this ship for APUSH next year ♥ I love you anyways. If only because we'll be suffering together.

For bio, we're going to be doing review sessions sometime soon. I may regret choosing embryology for my topic. Maybe. (To be completely honest the embryology text Mr. Brothwell let me borrow looks terribly, terribly fascinating idek.)

Brothwell is proposing the MERITS sophomores going to the San Diego Wild Animal Park instead of either the Natural History Museum or the Aquarium of the Pacific. I'm hoping his idea goes through, I'd love to go down to San Diego again.

I finally decided to try and see what turning off my computer would do to my productivity, and hey, positive correlation. Having the computer off has been great. So I guess I've been on hiatus? I can't really call it that, though. Buckling down has been a lot more successful, so at least that much I'm glad about. Urge to write hasn't gotten any less, though, which I suppose is good. Who knows? Maybe having spring break will destroy all the progress.

A lot of drama amongst the other kids lately, but eh, it's manageable, even if it does drive me a little crazy. I think the one thing that surprises me is that as much as I'd like to join academic decathlon for next year, I'd rather keep music on my roster. I don't know; AD's been on my list of things to do once I got to high school for ages longer than music's been around. Strange change of plans.

I can't say I regret it though.

Woodruff says he might keep Underground Strings going into summer. Lauren, Yosef (or is it Yusuf? I'm not sure, but he's a transfer to our school; he's Egyptian and I think he came from Europe, details are kind of sketchy; but he is a pretty insanely amazing player) and I spent our strings class today trying to transcribe left hand of Wedding Dress to violins for them and cello for me. It was pretty fun.

Despite there being actual productivity for once, though, I think I've gotten less sleep this week some days than others where I have procrastinated.

Then again, staring at walls lately instead of sleeping has been more and more frequent. Might contribute to that.

Been kind of on edge lately. The company of people in general at school (save a few, as always) has been kind of irritating to me. Could be the drama, could be me crawling back to antisocial-i-hate-you-all land. Not sure yet. Probably a good thing spring break is here, in any case.

If nothing else about k-pop, I'm crossing fingers that Big Bang will go to Hollywood Bowl this year so my sister and I can actually go, though it seems a little unlikely in the face of their comeback this summer? Comeback yay. ♥

My sister has been drooling over Jaejoong too much. And TOP.

I may have kind of screeched a little when I saw news about KRY's concert in Japan this summer.

Been listening to alice nine, 30 Seconds to Mars, and Red lately. District 78 has some of the catchiest dance mixes ever. Bad Romance eats my brain because Color Guard performed to it (damn you, Quan). After School's drumline intro was kind of jaw-dropping, to say the least.

And I miss you guys. That is not all.
