Hopefully, we can do a major Turkey Day this year and deal with "Love. Laughter. Family and friends. Taking time to commune with Nature/Spirit/the Universe/Powers That Be, whatever you want to call it. Enjoying the world around you. Enjoying the taste of a meal cooked with love, with pride, with fresh and healthy ingredients and real seasonings, then served in such a place and manner that you can take the time to savour every bite without the fear that you'll be late back to work, or late for your carpool. Time to talk with people, to catch up on the day without having the distraction of blaring televisions screeching for your attention at the same time."
Actually, love, I don't think it's going to take as long as you think, or anything as massive as you think, for the changes to occur. It's happening. Right now
( ... )
This is why I came to the very brink of disbelief in birthday magic, yesterday. I had *passable* amounts of the first two, but painfully little on the third.
We need to smash all the clocks
I'm with you and Capt Hook on that one: I refuse to wear a watch. And if I had my way, would live with only one in my house, since I don't expect to be able to convince the outside world that they are as evil and vile as they are.
