Oh god, those questions would throw me for such a loop!
What happens if you really don't know how to answer them? Bye-bye?

Well, the case interviews are usually designed so that the information you're initially given is limited. It's up to the candidate to ask questions and formulate a solution based on the answers the interviewer gives. They're usually scripted too, so you know you're on the right track if you ask a question and the interviewer gives a detailed response. But still, there's no one "right" solution; they're just assessing your thought process.

The scary part, though, is that business is such a broad discipline that the case questions could be about anything (finance, accounting, marketing, strategy, mergers, info systems, etc.) so you have to pretty much have to know your stuff beforehand.

I would ask them to redirect my CV to the closest fast food restaurant in need of an assistant manager.

Do fast food restaurants even require CVs?
