~Asthartia: Lunneth and Solinth~

"So don't be afraid
Your heart is in me
And it's racing so fast now
Cause everything we ever were or ever will be
Is shapeless as a changing cloud"

Even the gods had a longing to be human at times.. to do the things that humans did. Lunneth longed for mortality, just a taste of it.. to feel what it was like to live, to indulge in things that only humans could. Human emotions, all of those mysteries intriqued him and while he was frightened of it, he knew that it was a wish of his, he took it to Solinth, for there was no one who knew his heart more then his god lover. A path that they had, the stars connecting the sun and the moon.. the only thing that connected their path, and yet it wasn't a path on which they could linger for very much, for they were seperated by the barrier between night and day.

The moon heralded the sun's presence.. and the sun sank to make way for the moon. They worked as one though one was composed of two, of meeting very barely.. for their realms never crossed together except in the hour before dawn, and the hour before dusk, those are the exact moments when they kissed, when the torch was passed. A kiss good morning and a kiss goodnight.

The greatest romance ever, and yet they were not allowed to live it. That caused Lunneth so much sorrow, so much that he went to the fates, those beings that governed even the gods movements. Asked if there was something that they could do, if they could have a taste of that which mortals know so clearly, for mortal love was something that was to be envied, even amongst the gods. For as many times as Lunneth had written his love on the moon for his Solinth nightly, there was that pure desire for the simplicity, he knew he wouldn't ask for much, just for the chance to be on earth, to be with Solinth on earth and discover the joys that were to be had, all of which he did not know, but looked so beautiful enacted between their followers.

To Fate, Lunneth went. He made his plea and then the conditions were stated. He and Solinth would be sent to earth, as two different individuals, with no memories of their love, of their god-hood, of each other. They would be given the full taste of mortality but with no guarentees that they would find each other. That would be the risk inherent in their descent to earth, but it would be one that they would have to accept. Moments were uncertain and yet their duties would be taken care of, for Fate would make sure that prayers were answered and that night and day kept itself on it's steady and sure course.

Lunneth knew that he would have to take this risk, it wasn't something that he would question, he would descend even for the chance that he would find Solinth.. so going to his lover, meeting him before the sun descended into night, pressing his lips against his cheeks and whispering softly, "Follow me.. and find me." uttering for Solinth's ears only. "I believe in you..." and then slipping from his lover's embrace and into the realm of humanity like a moonbeam fallen to earth.

It was a chance that Lunneth knew he was taking, and yet he believed that they would meet, whatever situation or circumstance, he knew there would be that pull.. no matter that Fate was pulling themselves from their matters.. it wasn't fate, it was the pull of their spirits that would lead them to each other. For night could never be without day.

And Jeriah Leontes felt that same call, especially when he became a Priest of Lunneth, the only male to be accepted in a religion that normally only females were called to. Himself being a dove rider, something that had been almost unheard of, and yet at his time of choosing it caused alot of stir in a tradition that had been predominantely of females, and yet he was still accepted as one of the nine. The peace and secludity suited him, for he had been born shy and infinitely gentle, choosing not to go out over much, but staying in the sanctuary where it was safe... despite that inner tug in his heart saying that he should go outside, for something beautiful awaited him. But because there were no memories, he knew not what it was, and he was afraid of that self-same tug.

Perhaps it would find him.

"Your letter written on the sky
I'm needing now to read it through my eyes
When you see just what I see
Then tenderly watch it change
And just let it be"
