I caught the National when they opened for Arcade Fire. Admittedly, I work so much I've fallen out of the loop musically and had never heard of them until that night. The instrumentation was great, but the singer had a really weak voice and was always being drowned out. Was he better when you saw them, because if so, I'll give them another try.
