JOB HUNTING STORY NO. 1
So my sister and I left Jeddah last December 2016. By left, I mean exit; we are no longer residents on Jeddah, Kingdom of the S.A. It means that we also left our jobs in school.
I am now in search of a job. Thanks to Jobstreet and Google I can freely and "easily" look up the jobs that companies have posted in the said website.
BUT FUCK.
I am a graduate of the University of the Philippines Los Banos. My course: BS Biology (Major in Zoology).
THIS ISN'T HELPING.
When I put in the search bar : BS BIOLOGY, what pops up?
It is either 1. LAB WORK == BS BIOLOGY GRADUATE, NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED, WITH GOOD GRADES ( I REPEAT ::: GOOD GRADES ) OR 2. CALL CENTER OR 3. NOT A CALL CENTER BUT WITH EXPERIENCE TO RELATED FIELD
I do not want to work for a call center. I swear, I have nothing against them ( my brother works for one ). It's just that, I don't think it's the job for me. After I graduated in 2013, I work as a home-based English tutor, teaching Japanese students through skype, with my headphones/mic on. PLEASE, DO THE MATH.
As of now, I have 14 applications, 2 of which have e-mailed me saying that they will contact me once they have reviewed my resume and determined that I am shortlisted/pre-qualified. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Jobs that I'm applying for? (Ranked - 1 being the highest/most preferred)
1. Copy editor
2. - 3. Ground Staff (AIRPORT JOB - if you're my friend, you'll probably know why I want this job)
4. Housekeeper (YES. I DO NOT MIND. THE JOB IS LOCATED IN JAPAN. Figured that once I get there, I'll make my way to something better)
5. Corporate Accounts Executive ( for IHG - InterContinental HOtel Groups == I am looking forward to the benefits)
6. Production Coordinator - does not sound easy but looks like fun
7. - 14. THE OTHER JOBS

Companies, PLEASE, e-mail or call me ASAP. I need a job. I cannot really stand being unemployed. Well, technically I am self-employed 'cause of the tutoring gig BUT I wanna be outside. I WANT MONEY. I WANT TO GO TO PLACE. I WANNA GO TO DISNEY LAND.
