Every Night You Cry Yourself To Sleep, Thinking "Why Does This Happen to Me?"

Jul 12, 2008 20:15

Just wanted to let everyone know - if I disappear again it's because they've put me in the hospital. I have a kidney infection (despite being on antibotics) and am extremely sick from it. Read to mean I have a fever of 101. I am going to an After Hours place and I pray that they can make this horrible feeling go away. I've had kidney infections ( Read more... )

Hello, I hope you're doing better? I ran across a comment on a Fibro journal & wanted to know more about you. I read your user info, & enjoy the way you write & your honesty. I have a hard time writing unfortunately. I was adopted at birth & had a search group locate my birth parents a few years ago. I've been dealing w/ awful bodily pain for quite some time, & now my Dr. is convinced I have fibro or chronic fatigue. I'm having more testing on Aug. 25. I'm 35 yr. old female, feel like I'm losing my mind often & only have 2 other LJ friend's, & would be thrilled to have you on the list. I don't post much anymore, but comment in my friend's. Sorry to have rambled :) Thanks

Not a problem! You didn't ramble. If ANYONE can be accused of rambling, it's me!!!

May I ask a question? Did you want to find your birth parents for health reasons or otherwise? One of my close friends is adopted and despite having a great number of health issues, she says she never wants to meet her birth parents. I think I'd want to know.

Odds are high you have a combination of Fibro AND Chronic Fatigue. They tend to go hand-in-hand. Just know that you aren't alone.

I really wanted to find out who my birth parents were for the feeling of the "piece of the missing puzzle", & health reasons. I have an adopted brother a few years younger that has absolutely no interest in finding his. I have a 10 yr. old 1/2 sister my birth mom had when she was 45. I'm not sure if my 1/2 sister knows I'm her first daughter. It's difficult to keep in touch & find time for visits. My birth father & mom have been in touch since I've found them & they were still seeing each other periodically until the early 90's. He married a woman 4 or 5 years older than me. They don't have any kids yet. He's a doctor (imagine that)in the US Virgin Islands with 2 clinics, travels a lot & sends me a few emails from time to time & says to keep in touch. He's aware of some of my health issues, but hasn't filled me in on anything that runs in the family & so on. I met my birth mom once (she's amazing), we talked a lot at first & still have kept in touch. She lives about 6 hrs. away. Her soon to be ex-husband decided to end his life 10 ( ... )

Sorry it took me so long to reply! Work and home . . . crazy! LOL! Yeah I was surprised when my friend said she wanted no part of "the person who gave me away." Unfortunately my friend and her sister (also adopted, but from a different family) were the products of date rape and were forced by their families to give them up. I know my friend's mother was only 16 when she had her. Her sister's mother was younger, I believe.

I know that I would want to know. It wouldn't change anything about the people who raised me, you know? THEY are my parents. I've thought alot about this because my brothers used to joke that our older half sister (she is 26 years older than me, so it is possible. But the thought . . . ugh!!!!

Feel free to vent to me whenever you want. My email address is shivedheart at gmail dot com.
