Wow, it's sure been a long time since I last posted a blog! I'm going to start posting to both LiveJournal and FA, as many of you aren't on LJ any more

Yay! But no aurorae in NWT? Well, Aurora can't be seen, and Aurora isn't furry, and Aurora isn't "Central Ontario" but rather GTA. Oh wait, I was talking about NWT!
Surely you'll see -35°C at least once this winter, at least as a wind-chill reading Heck, most years K-W gets a wind-chill of -30 at least once, which is why our grape vines never produce anything edible. But our one(!) apple tree did great this year - now we have a pantry full of canned applesauce. And the raspberries did well, and the mulberries - might make some wine out of them. Still no hazelnuts, though. And we're already seeing mould problems on this year's onion harvest.
No raspberry jam yet (but there is apple jam in the fridge, that no one is eating). I believe the plan is to make jam from a bag of frozen raspberries+mulberries picked earlier, in time to make Jammie Dodgers for the Dr. Who 7th anniversary special (misnamed "50th anniversary special, but there are no 20th-century doctors included).
