No more hurricanes please.

I was just in Galveston a few weeks ago. It was so great. I had a wonderful time at the aquarium and moody gardens hotel. I liked the little burger place we ate at on the beach...I hope Galveston will be ok. I hope everyone there will be ok. It makes me so worried and sad for everyone.

i hope gtown is ok too. i've been there too many times, it's like a getaway and this summer i meant to go back.

one summer i was there when a storm came in - it wasn't a hurricane or anything. but the entire streets were flooded, i was walking in water up to my knees, and my friend very bravely drove his car through water he shouldn't have. why? he had to save his guitar, which he left on the floor in his high school band hall.
the guitar was just fine. so was his car.

I know, this is getting ridiculous...end of the world, anyone? Hah..

But at least we can take comfort in this: Pretty much everyone has been evacuated, hospitals have been evacuated, and busses have been provided and are allowing pets to board. They've gotten smart this time around, so at least it's not going to be like Katrina was as far as human loss goes. That's a big relief to me.

I need to fill up on gas today though...man, I'm just waiting for the prices to shoot way up again...we're possibly losing another 25% of our oil reserves...

I hope things are alright this time around.

Cheap gas is gettin' hard to find. Also, Im curious as to how bad, or not, the weathers going to get in SA..
