I'm passively llistening to the news at the moment and one of the stories happened to be the rising price of, wait for it.....Sugar. Ok so sugar is going up 15% apparently. I'm sorry but how much is sugar right now? Like a buck ten? I mean I buy it often and as I recall I don't feel like I'm giving up the rest of my week by buying sugar. "Well

Well just about every OTHER food product we buy does contain processed sugar in it, so sugar going up doesn't affect your day to day baking that much, the price of virtually all snack food and many other non-snack foods could potentially go up.

On the news they were referring to in it's "pure" form only rather than other products, though yes those could go up too as well I suppose.
