if it's any consolation, i get ripped off by telemarketers...i have to call and cancel something i didn't sign up for, or i'll have to pay $130. yeah...but the guy was really nice...that's how you get scammed i s'pose.
good luck with the doctor. do you have time to show up there in person? that usually freaks people out to the point of actually doing their job. good luck friend.
