I figured I should update. I've been in Atlanta for about 3 weeks so far.  I love the program here- the people are great, the school is great, and even Atlanta is growing on me. Although, I still don't like a place where public transportation sucks and traffic is bad. I prefer either something like NYC, DC, or Chicago where you don't need a car, or ( Read more... )

Rice is your friend :-)

I claim my inches loss in general to a "balanced" diet of rice and lentils.

Hmm, rice is a good idea. I need to buy a rice cooker- mine was left in South Bend. I've pretty much given up red meat (for mostly environmental but also partly dietary reasons), and that has helped.
How are things in the Bend? Are you still working, or trying to take classes?

If you are able to make an investment on a rice cooker/slow cooker/steamer combination, I highly recommend the Fuzzy logic one from Williams Sonoma. I have it and love it!

I'm working at our church now (since June) doing Christian Education--mostly finding Sunday School teachers and telling them what to teach. Sometime in the next couple weeks, I'll be meeting with my Bishop to discuss my future.
