Google maps
Some of you may have seen Google maps new "street view" feature, which has detailed pictures of a few American cities. Well, it turns out there are some pretty darn funny pictures on there, and also some possible privacy violations. WIRED blog has a fun little page that shows some of the best ones.

Evolution
Thought this article was interesting. Sam Brownback (R-KS) wrote it as a NYTimes OpEd. As a scientist, I pretty much disagree with it across the board. It's full of fallacies, and the second half is one giant example of begging the question. I'm a three-team kinda guy when it comes to sports. Sure, I'll pull for the Pistons to win, or hope for the Red Wings to do well in the playoffs. I have a soft spot for the Cubs.
