Wow, tricky prompt. You are a wonder!

Certainly agree about the level of most engineers writing, when it's not on a technical drawing. My middle son's writing looks like a spider with a broken leg was used to write it. I thought you'd be amused to see the mug I bought him:

My dad was an aircraft mechanic but really should have been an engineer (he was certainly knowledgeable and educated enough to design things for the aircraft he worked on) and his handwriting was perfect, but only because he actually cared about how it looked and specifically designed how he wanted his letters to look and practiced them that way. I think just like anything else, the only way to get good at handwriting is to actually practice it... and most engineers don't care. :)
