At least a couple of them are intentional. I know the idea of Sam being discovered the same way as Finn was, at least, was a deliberate parallel. I had assumed the Sing-along Sound of Music was also intentional, or at least could have been since they made clear it was an annual thing.

yeah i think most of them are intentional. we have some smart writers even if they make big mistakes sometimes lol

I do appreciate how much they reference themselves visually in the episodes (like how in the finale version of don't stop included shots that were similar to the pilot's version of don't stop). I didn't catch the line about the sing along Sound of Music until you pointed it out though. That's awesome.
