I will comment as a friend of many LGBTQ+ (because I have friends who are gay a lot, really.) In my country, the way most of LGBTQ+ relationship goes is just the same as it is in fanfiction-the top and bottom, even though they both look masculine. I don't feel offended, or any of person I recommend them a story offended by it. They totally like it. So I think that you don't have to be worry much. There are many kind of relationship, of course there are LGBTQ+ couples who are the opposite from a fanfiction too. But I think fanfiction is what the writer and reader want to read, our fantasies or shelter from reality, I'm happy reading your story. :D
I'm commenting on this as someone who has family members and friends who are part of the LGBTQ+ community. Ever since I started reading yaoi/BL mangas and same sex fanfiction, I've wondered if members of the community are somehow offended by how some depicted them in such a stereotypical manner. Stereotypical also in the sense that some of the stories depicted the relationship exactly in the same stereotypical dynamics of a heterosexual one. I noticed how some stories are just very much straight up heterosexual in nature, except the partner isn't the opposite sex but of the same sex. But I also realize that there can be homosexual relationships that mimics that of a typical heterosexual relationship. At the same time, I realize that not all are offended with such depiction. But just because they're not offended doesn't mean that some are not frustrated by it. Mostly, I feel like that those who maybe frustrated with the depiction might simply want the writers to try and explore other relationship dynamics. I can honestly say that such

I wanted to touch on the issue on how some female (yes, specifically female) readers and writers tend to fetishize gay relationships. Though men tend to do it with lesbian relationships, but that's mostly in porn. But I think that's a whole nother topic for discussion. Though it still fits quite well as a major point of discussion in this narrative. I've read how some gay mangakas are frustrated (some even offended) about how female mangakas and readers are simply fetishizing gay relationships with out true concern over the real issues that gay men face in society. They feel like those women who are writing/drawing/reading stories about gay men are just simply enjoying it, or better yet fetishizing it with no real concern & involvement over the real world aspects of such relationships.
Thank you for giving me so much of your time. I will keep your words in mind while working on my future stories. :) I am sorry that I cannot reply to everything that you have written thoroughly right now, but I will once I can!
First of all, thank you so much for taking your time to read and respond to this. Thank you :') I will make sure to give you a more proper reply as soon as possible!
