What should I be when I "grow up?"

I know, you all thought I was set on speech-language pathology. I'm already enrolled in Integrated Graduate Studies (IGS) for speech-language pathology. However, I just received an email from my old advisor (from freshman & sophomore year, who's currently teaching at Vanderbilt) telling me that yet another faculty member from the communication ( Read more... )

I think that it's more important to enjoy what you do than to make a lot of money off it. I know that social workers don't get paid much but it'll be enough to keep you comfortable, and that is all that matters, no?

Unfortunately, Case doesn't put enough effort into too many of their departments. However, you have been doing well so far in slp and you love it, so why not keep it up and make it a career? Doubt is not necessarily a bad thing as everyone in college has gone through it (like those crazies who change majors every year :-p) but I think you have really found something you love and are good at, so don't lose sight of it :-)

well you are still getting your undergrad degree in may right? that gives you freedom to decide what to do over the course of the next 2, 4, 6 or 8 moths
