Do you still need a code in order to start a journal? If so, does anyone have an extra code? I have a friend who just sent me the link to his public journal on Friendster, and I want to let him read my journal, but I make most of my posts friends-only, so I figured he needs a code in order for me to add him as a friend. (Hope that makes sense.)

Account creation codes were done away with quite a while ago. Just send him to http://www.livejournal.com/create.bml and he should be able to figure it out from there.
