I booked my first ever real 'holiday' the other day. I mean, we've taken little trips (Claire and I to Italy) and gone to the US - to my parents' house - a bunch, but never had a family holiday where it's just us. I now make menial amounts of money, but enough that I was finally able to afford to buy this for my family. I'm excited

I loved Disneyland Paris as a kid so I'm sure they'll have a great time :D

We got the email for what rides will be closed when we go and a few are the ones we were looking forward to the most! Sad times. Oh well, we'll just have to go again ;)

It's probably good to go more than once tbh, because with the kids I'm pretty sure you wouldn't get the chance to do everything in one trip tbh. Then again I don't know, I haven't seen the new/bigger version of the park, and I don't know if queueing times are as bad as they used to be?

I know Disneyland is more kiddy oriented than something like Alton Towers for example, but it's still my favourite theme park. I'm not a big fan of scary rides, so space mountain and star tour are just fine as far as I'm concerned, I don't need big rollercoasters as they actually make me sick ^^;;

I assume you've been to the US parks before? Orlando or LA? Disneyland Paris is different of course, but in some ways it's better, it just depends what you're looking for I guess. I love all of them anyway. :p

I think going on vacation sounds like a good use of the funds. You deserve some time to have fun, and there will be good memories.

Hopefully good memories will be had. Vacationing with Olly is extremely stressful. I may steal some propanalol from work for him (no I won't HMRC don't arrest me)

Propranolol is a beta-blocker that is quite useful as a mild anti-anxiety medication. Many actors take it to help with stage fright- it's something that isn't psychoactive, but more to do with high blood pressure. It's mainly used for heart problems!
