Well, ended up taking Anathea to the hospital tonight/this morning. She wasn't keeping anything down but was obsessively begging for water and/or juice. So I called the pediatrician who advised a ride to the ER

One thing I remember from kidlet being very little was the doctor having us give her a tablespoon of fruit punch every 15 minutes until she could keep it down. Not sure why, but it works (sometimes it does take a few hours). I still use that trick with her now, and she's adult person size.
That's exactly what I was going to recommend -- if she's hurling up liquids, try frequent small sips of PediaLyte. This is the classic trick they teach us on the peds rotation.
That was the original advice when we called her doc around 7:30. It was clear that whatever we were giving her was coming back up within 30 minutes. We were giving her a teaspoon of half gatorade and half water every 5 minutes. It was consistently coming back up

From your post, I was worried that you guys might have to take her in to get some liquids into her, but I didn't want to say so and worry you. I'm sorry it was such an eventful night but I'm glad you guys got the care that you needed, and I personally don't care whether you were taking up someone else's bed or not, and if I were you, I wouldn't waste your energy on thinking about that either. Go get some sleep and then wake up and play with your little girl who's on the mend. *hug*
