I mean, at some point you just run into this problem in any time travel story where you can just fix pretty much anything with time travel. Or worse, _technobabble_. But yeah, considering that the entire first Angels episode was focused on cleverly solving THIS EXACT PROBLEM, who knows.
Also, the ENTIRE previous season dealt with exactly that problem of "well people have seen proof of my death, let me find a clever way to get around that without causing a paradox".
I totally agree with you! I was so mad at that ending. Apparently they feel they have to make it so Amy and Rory permanently can't ever be in any episode again. It doesn't even make sense why he can't visit them, or if there is some weird time-lock thing with that particular year they got sent to, then some later year. Almost all of the companions have had horrible endings. I'm still mad about the way they ended with Donna Noble. They just can't seem to find a reasonable way of getting rid of companions.
