About a week ago I got a call from my boss saying that my shifts were going to be cut down to one shift a week. It sucks balls and I was mopey for around a week because of it but I've decided I have to get over it and try and make money. Sure I've been job-searching for a while but it looks like I'll be in this situation for a good while longer

If you're considering t-shirt designing, you can always do the weekly shirt.woot derby. Just design a shirt based on the weekly theme & woot's rules & submit.

Winners get 2k, then $2 for every shirt that sells after the first day until it's reckoned.

I've been doing it since the end of January & even though I haven't won any derbies, it's great practice & gives me shirt designs I can submit somewhere else later like threadless or even make my own shirt store if I wanted.

I think we can get the Marysue site off the ground if we buy a wordpress.com domain name and update it as a image blog, I can do this once I get my next pay check I think its fifteen dollars a month.

You wouldn't be compromising your integrity THAT much??

Your art is good, but legitimate sources of income based on it would be extremely narrow.
Threadless is cool, but it's pretty tough to stand out there. It's like
1. Pop culture/social commentary/nostalgia/whimsy
2. +/- Irony level
3. ???
4. Profit

(I have to say, I really enjoy reading your reviews. Idk if you could do anything with that exactly, but I think they're great!)
