The post is titled thus because it's just been that kind of week.
Started out on Saturday with Supanova in Sydney (which was awesome, really, but had a few substantial downsides). I booked the flights up to Sydney for the wrong month. I am such a moron. Anyway, I bought another set of tickets at $170 dearer than my original ones, but that was my fault, so I didn't mind so much. I was just annoyed with myself. Anyway, Supanova in Sydney is so ridiculously bigger than it is in Melbourne! It took us two hours to get, but there were some antics to keep us entertained. A guy in a ghillie suit was taken out by some little kids in Superman and Batman costumes, hehe. I got what I wanted out of the trip anyway. Signatures from Vic Mignogna, Travis Willingham, and Laura Bailey (yay!), and volume two of Soul Eater. It was a lot of fun, just much more expensive than originally anticipated.
Then we got home just in time to watch Australia's soccer match against Ghana. My friends and I cheered a lot for Australia's first goal, and we were all happy until Kewell got that red card. Good God, the refs have got it in for Australia, I swear. A red card for an accidental handball? Seriously? Argh! And yet, when one of the players for Ghana tackled one of our guys from behind and missed the ball, he got let off scot-free. Not even a yellow. I mean, I understand that it's difficult to see things clearly from down on the ground, but Kewell so clearly didn't deserve that red card that it was ridiculous. Oh, well. We did well to keep the scores even with only ten guys on the field.
And this afternoon work was all fine and dandy 'til I'd finished my shift and one of the managers told me a customer had complained about a Gold Lounge booking I'd taken. Apparently I'd been rude and even handed the phone off to someone else because my shift ended while I was on the phone which is so utterly unbelievable. I would never, ever do something like that, and only ever get short with customers when they're being unreasonable and rude to me, and I don't think that has ever happened over the phone. So perhaps they got the name wrong when they were complaining or something, because I have no recollection of the incident. The manager gave me the benefit of the doubt, thankfully, but now I just feel like crap.
tl;dr It's been a frustrating few days.
