Ueda Tatsuya is a University student, he is very good looking, boys and girls are always mesmerize by his beauty.
He is well known for winning 3 times in a music competition, he plays the piano beautifully.
When he was in high school, soon after he won his last competition, his lover died; one of those people in his life who understands him.
His name was Akanishi Jin. In high school they were always together, they've been friends ever since Tatsuya transferred to Jin's school.
Jin and Tatsuya fell in love instantly.
And Tatsuya thought he’ll never forget about his dead lover in his life.
That was until; he met a transferred student in his department, a guy with the name of Nishikido Ryo.
Nishikido Ryo came from Osaka.
When you look at him, he looks all nice and sweet; but his personality is the total opposite.
He’s mean, he says things without even thinking, but deep down, it was just a cover, so that no one would have the nerve to threaten him.
Ryo was walking along the university corridor to his classroom, running late on his 1st day when he accidentally bumped into someone
"Ahhh…will you watch where you’re going?" Ryo said "I’m sorry, but you’re the one who bumped into to me first." the guy said
"I’m going to be late for class, and it’s your fault!" Ryo shouted
"My fault? Your were already late, before I even bump into you." the other guy said back.
"Fine! Would you just tell me where room 309 is?" Ryo asked.
The other looked at Ryo's class schedule and said; "Follow me, I’ll show you."
When they arrived at the said room; the guy said "Room 309."
"Thank you, by the way, I’m Nishikido Ryo, I just transferred here. You are?" Ryo introduced himself.
The other smiled at him and said; "Ueda Tatsuya, and apparently we are in the same class. Let’s go in or we'll be in trouble."
Tatsuya opened the door and everyone looked at him, even the professor. "Finally it was nice of you to join us Ueda-san." Mr.Naoito greeted him.
"I’m sorry for being late sir, I got stuck in the traffic. It won’t happen again.” Tatsuya apologized.
"Okay, take your seat. Even though you’ve won 3 times and you’re a champion, I won’t treat you differently from your classmates." Mr.Naoito said.
Tatsuya sat down on the nearest seat available and Ryo sat next to him.
"He’s kind of mean, isn't he?" Ryo said "He’s just like that, he just hates me…" Tatsuya stated.
(After class)
"Ueda-san, stay after class." Mr.Naoito said after everybody was gone.
And Tatsuya stayed.
"Tatsuya, don’t ever come in late again, they will think that I treat you better." Mr.Naoito said.
"Gomen, aniki." Tatsuya answered. Naoito looked at his little brother and said; "It’s ok, just don’t let it happen again, you can go now."
Tatsuya nodded and left. Just then Ryo entered the room and said; "Sir, he’s your brother but you treat him like his no one to you."
“You shouldn’t care how I treat my brother!" Naoito said back, just then Tatsuya returned and calmed his brother down "Aniki, gomenasai! We’ll be leaving now. Nishikido-san, let’s go!"
Tatsuya and Ryo were walking down the hallway when Tatsuya reminded the other man;
"Ryo, I want to thank you for what you did, but you really didn't have to that. I can take care of myself.”
Ryo looked at him "I was just trying to help," Ryo said "You’re just making it worse. He will hate me more." Tatsuya sighed.
Ryo looked at him and asked; "Why does he hate you?" Tatsuya looked back at him but said nothing so Ryo repeated his question.
"Because I killed his best friend! It was my fault that he died." Tatsuya said and walked away without looking at him.
Ryo was left there dumbfounded.
(Several days later)
Ryo studied about Tatsuya more and seemed to learn many things about him, like;
His name is Ueda Tatsuya, 18 years old, son of one of the richest peoples in Japan. Have 2 other siblings, Ueda Naoito and Ueda Mai, Tatsuya was very close to his sister, Mai because she was the only one who accepted him
And Naoito, he was mad at him because like what Tatsuya said; he killed his best friend; a guy with the name of Akanishi Jin.
Jin was Tatsuya's lover. They dated during their high schooldays; back when Tatsuya was a cheerful young boy.
Jin, his lover, died while driving, on his way to the hall where Tatsuya was having his competition, which he later won; after he crushed into a truck.
He was in a hurry, got crashed and died instantly.
Tatsuya blamed himself for his death, even though it was purely an accident and his brother blamed him too.
He never tried to move on or try to be in another relationship.
(History class)
Tatsuya sat in his usual seat; at the front while Ryo beside him.
Ryo was most likely staring at Tatsuya, "Ne~ Tatsuya, can we talk?" Ryo whispered.
Tatsuya didn't reply to what he said.
(After class)
"Tatsuya, let’s have some coffee?" Ryo invited but Tatsuya just ignored him and didn't bulge, Ryo got frustrated, he grabbed Tatsuya's wrist and dragged him out of the room, into the parking lot. There, he shoved Tatsuya into his car and buckled the seatbelt for the other, got in and drove to his apartment.
When Ryo took a look at Tatsuya, he saw that the other was now close to tears and very afraid.
But they didn't say anything, until they reached Ryo's apartment complex;
"I’m sorry. I just- really want to talk to you, but you just snob me." Ryo said and unbuckle his and Tatsuya's seatbelt.
They got out of the car and Ryo lead Tatsuya into his apartment, he made Tatsuya sit on the couch while he prepared some tea for them. When Ryo returned, he sat on the couch, but not near Tatsuya.
"I just want to talk to you, I’ve learned something about you, can you confirm it?" Ryo asked.
Tatsuya looked at him and nodded. He then said; "What did you learned about me? Why do you care so much?"
Ryo looked at him with piercing eyes and said; "It’s not your fault that your lover died, it was an accident, it can’t be helped."
Tatsuya looked at him with wide eyes and yelled; "You don’t know anything! Stay out of it and stay out of my life!" and Tatsuya left him, running and crying.
'Why does he have to be hard on himself?'Ryo thought
That night, neither Tatsuya nor Ryo sleep.
(Next day in history class)
Tatsuya didn't show up in class and Ryo got really worried, so he started asking his classmates where Tatsuya usually hangs out at. They told him "Music Room"
Ryo ran through the halls until he reached the music room,
Then he saw the most beautiful scene in the world, Tatsuya playing the piano; his eyes close, Ryo got hypnotized with the person in front of him and suddenly whispered "I love you."
Then Ryo approached Tatsuya, sat by his side and took Tatsuya's hand in his and looked at him in the eyes and said; "I’ll protect you, I love you. Will you trust me?"
Tatsuya took hold of his hands and said’ "I’m not in love with you yet, but I will try to trust you, and thank you."
Ryo kissed him on the forehead and hugged him and said "Thank you, Tatsuya."
