Don Imus deserves his job back

The fact that this story was even news worthy is complete BS. Let's see, his show is on MSNBC and distributed by CBS. That leaves ABC and FOX. Gee, I wonder who came out with this as a news story first? To me it seems like a war amongst the media giants, where one corporation probably saw the opportunity to ruin another corporation's show that was ( Read more... )

Don Imus is what the portrait of David Bowie actually looks like. If David Bowie actually aged instead of looking younger each year, he would probably look like Imus.

they went to Duke? of course they're guilty! I saw them get off scott free. Even if she's a hoe, she probably got raped and the lacrosse players are most likely guilty. However, I don't think this should have ever been a matter for the courts to decide. Her pimp should have beat them with a lacrosse stick and collected on the money they should've paid her.

Maybe he is a good guy. Maybe his philanthropic work overshadows an ignorant remark. Maybe it doesn't. You can't really answer that.

In either case, maybe it's our job currently to stamp out racism and make it a cultural taboo so that our kids can grow up in a world where it's unacceptable - BUT they won't have to be eternally conscious of it like we are. Maybe getting rid of this way of thinking will take down a few good people along the way, but the end result is valuable.

Perhaps a bit harsh, but then again I support China's 1-child policy and think it should be implemented here.

Imus gets picked on because he is a celebrity. But there are a lot more racists in this world. Also, if we protect our kids from racism, how will they be able to cope with it if it confronts them suddenly. I say we keep racism to a minimum by allowing freedom of speach and people's ears can decide on who they want to listen to or tell "shut up ( ... )

I don't like how "Political correctness" has become a bad word. Sometimes being "politically correct" means just not being a dick.

I think being politically correct means that you are Stephen Colbert.
Because he is never wrong.
