Ugh.

I feel like I have to force myself through watching Seed Destiny.

I really should have finished Gundam Seed first. I can't figure out why people are on different sides now or why half the blonde girls look the same.

Eh, guess I shouldn't make this entry entirely unentertaining.

I always wondered.

I was shocked, too. Shocked and angered.

From the mouths of babes, I suppose.

Truly, this show is at the forefront of the culinary arts. Required watching for all chefs-in-training.

Yeah, I'm kinda forcing my way through SEED DESTINY as well. I find it a little more entertaining than the original SEED. Personally, whether you finished SEED or not, DESTINY is still pretty poorly managed. Neither of them have a high enough body count that a Gundam series should. It's getting really bad that one of my favorite anime of all time is no longer interesting at all. I'm beginning to think that the artform I've dedicated so much of my life to is dead.

Not to mention that the character designer Hirai Hisashi is a complete and total hack with little to no talent. All of the SEED characters looked alike, DESTINY's look alike, and even a completely unrelated series' (Soukyuu no Fafner) could even be confused for SEED and SEED-D characters.

It saddens me to see that Bandai is mismanaging its largest and most profitable property it's ever owned.

I really dislike Seed-D's main character. I mean, he was built up for the first five minutes, then forgotten about until he pilots the Gundam. At least the other Gundam series followed their protagonists along. While I'll give credit to those first five minutes (they were pretty awesome), that sort of effort should have been put in to the rest of the episode.

And yeah, I agree on the character designs. See my blonde girl comment in the entry. I swear, they all look the same. So much so, I couldn't tell who was who's love interest in the beginning ("Is Athrun naked with Stellar? Wait, no, who's that?").

Gundam Seed got a little better towards the middle. Hopefully this show will take a turn then.
