I have discovered after four years of being friends with some people that they don't care about me. They ask if they can do something and don't even wait for a response before doing whatever it is they asked. I will be with one of them, and they will say "hey do you know where so-and-so is? I'm gonna go find them" or if they see them when they are still with me they just run off to go hang out with that other person or other people without even saying bye. And in the end what have i discovered? I don't need people like that as friends. Anyone who causes me that much pain, and when I try to explain to them and can't because it's so upsetting they don't even try to ask me what's really going on and is it something they did? no they don't, all they do is start ignoring me IGNORING of all the stupid things. And what this indicates to me is that they really don't care to resolve any issues in our relationship.
I have decided to end the friendship. Now, we are on the fast track to becoming acquaintances only. And it feels so much better.
