...I was thinking about not using this thing until I got shocked, since I never got shocked from the mistletoe thing, but then I realized I had a question I needed to ask. Which is, it's almost New Year's. It's obviously going to be impossible to have temple visits and cook the food and send postcards and dress up and stuff, so I was wondering, how ( Read more... )

That's right, there's no traditional way to celebrate a holiday, here. That's kind of a bummer.

I don't know if it's that, exactly. It just means we'll have to come up with our own traditions.

That sounds kind of fun, but I'll definitely miss going to the festivals.

Uh... well, actually, it's a bar, come to think of it. But I call it a restaurant because that's more cheerful. It's over on Bonito, and run by Aragaki Shinjiro - if you've seen him around. It's tied with the soup kitchen for "the best food in Discedo."

Tied with...the soup kitchen?

I'll definitely make sure to check it out, then. Thanks!

That's right. It's a fierce rivalry between the two, but the quality is about equal.

Fierce rivalry, huh? I guess the economy's gotta start somewhere!

Well, we've gotta amuse ourselves somehow, right?

Well... it's not that bad here. Are you just bored?

For the most part. It's just not the same here as home.

I think that can probably be said for everyone here.
