I still like Livejournal because, unlike Facebook, it's easier to be more honest about life events and happenings in general. So here's what's been happening

I keep hoping LJ will make a comeback too. It's been interesting how it started out as all people from college I knew in real life, started branching out to local Albany people (I'm pretty sure I met my grad school roommate on LJ first), and now I'm pretty sure less than 3 people are people I know from real life first.
I'm glad you were able to find somewhere to go - it seems like too often the roadblock to getting help is too much for people. Sad. I loved seeing your photos from Scare A Con on FB yesterday!
It was a great relief to finally get a conversation started with someone who could help. The mental health situation is screwed up in this country.
I got a new phone last week, so taking pictures of random events is easier now that I don't have to use the old dinosaur phone. And Lloyd Kaufman!!! Some of those old dudes have more energy than I'll ever have.
Beyond screwed up. People are so flip about "well get some help" - as if it's that easy to just make a call and magically have someone, just like that.
Dare I ask, texting on new phone!?! I feel so bad at myself sometimes when you see those old guys going full steam ahead and I'm like "Ugh, I went to work today and now I will be in fog for a few hours and then sleep/toss and turn/not really sleep until I can do it all again tomorrow."
I have texting, but I'm still trying to figure out this new phone technology, so I'm probably gonna hold off on a week or so to start using it. Right now I'm making sure I know all the ins and outs of the phone before I trying communicating a lot.
Movie, yes! I also found the pecan pie M&M's, and I like them better than the other ones. I'll bring some to share.
I thought insurance companies were required to cover that stuff under Timothy's Law? Glad to hear you found help, though.
(And yes, I wish more people posted here, too. But I use this more for long-form, serious life stuff, and having stuff like that to say and time to say it can be challenging.)
