A painful end to Friday

Tonight, while biking home, I got a little careless. I was making my final turn into my driveway, but unbeknownst to me, the road was a little slippery, covered with slippery leaves, and I was going too fast. As I leaned in to make the turn, my bike slipped out from underneath me, and I hit the pavement. My leg hit first and got some scrapes, but

Were you wearing a helmet? If you weren't, you really should have been. I think it was Sean who was showing everyone what happened to his helmet when he had a bike accident last summer. The helmet was cracked pretty badly, and if he hadn't been wearing his helmet it would have been his head. So I hope you always wear a helmet when biking. You may look stupid, but it's better to look stupid than to suffer brain damage and be stupid.

No, I wasn't wearing my helmet. I certainly learnt my lesson the hard way. I left my helmet at home, and so my parents are mailing it to me.
