Tho You Are Gone I Still Often Walk With You

What a song title that is. It would've been my dog's birthday yesterday, which made me think about her a fair bit. It's nearly 10 months now since she died and it was better for her that she went but the feeling I have of missing her is still the strongest feeling I've ever experienced and there isn't a day when I don't wish I could see her. I didn ( Read more... )

It's about time this was updated son.

Isn't there any deadline for getting into the private halls you stayed in in first year? I know you've told me before but are Arwell and Mai getting their own place, and Ste's moving back to Leeds?

I can't believe this time last year we were less than two weeks away from going to France, and now we're three months away from Portugal. Three fucking months. We need to get someone sorted for between now and then, even if it's just a couple of weekend breaks somewhere. The World Cup was only six days away this time last year too, that's incredibly depressing.

Roll on Thursday.

When I lived in halls in first year I sorted it out in June or July I think. As long as it's before clearing in mid-August it'd be fine I think. No one's sure what they're doing, Stephen's staying in Manchester I think so I'll probably live with at least him somewhere

I was thinking the other day about it being nearly a year since France, crazy. That last night could still bring tears to my eyes. Wonderful grounds to survey. I can't believe it's that long since the World Cup either. Fuck off summers without a World Cup or Euro

Me and Si have mentioned Whitby a few times, we seriously need to go back over summer if possible, it'd be brilliant. Do you have any idea when the place is available from big Jan with his massive bald head? The Duke of York is so tempting, for a drop of Courage and the fine filly behind the bar

Yeah, Si mentioned going back to Whitby to me too. I'd imagine availability wouldn't be too much of a problem and I can get my mum to ask big bald Jan whenever really. I'm going for a weekend in July with my parents actually.

Weekend in Whitby with the Coopers anyone? You could introduce them to John

I'd be fine to go pretty much whenever, I guess Si might have a few problems with working over summer. I don't know what everyone else is doing over summer, whether they're going home or what. Was it 8 people last time? I guess that's pretty much the limit really

Yeah we had two car-fulls last time, I'm not sure who'd be up for it this time. Good point about Simon, I don't know if he works weekends or not.

We'll have to get their on the Friday to catch the guy doing covers in the pub on the front. Some lovely women in there.

Bollock off Doncaster, just trying to keep you on your toes

I'll have a word with Si and see whether he can get a weekend off easily or not, that if I ever see him on MSN again, the disgraceful Midlands wanker. I guess sometime towards the end of July or beginning of August might be good, around the end of June and beginning of July might be a problem with people moving houses and I think Dan and Rich might both have said they're gonna be at home to avoid that kind of time because of how busy it is. Not sure on that though. Although Late July onwards there'll be kids around because of summer holidays. Hmm

Jesus christ, romantic night in for two anyone?

I can't go anywhere over summer because I have two jobs. I'm moving back up to Leeds at the start of September so we could go to Whitby before uni starts, but i'd be happy to go at about the same time as last year, that is if young Cooper could take the slightly below average temperatures. I might be able to drive as well, it depends if I have a new car by then, because it seems that my current car might not actually be dying after all, and will probably last most of the summer. Have to play it by ear.
