So... I made Bluebell and did pretty much an entire first episode worth of screencaps... only to close Sims, look in my screencap folder and realize they were all just... black. IDEK what I did wrong? FML.

Ah. You might want to use 'C' to take pictures. That's what I do for the very same reason. If you have photoshop, maybe you can lighten the ones you already have?

I was using irfanview. I had the settings wrong, that's why. I can't lighten the ones I took though, because they're literally just black screens, so I have to start over.

I highly recommend ditching Irfanview, and using Gadwin!
It's a much better program for screencaping, imo!

I actually had to switch to fraps because irfanview wouldn't work. Does Gadwin make a sound when you take a cap? Fraps doesnt and it's so annoying.

I'm glad you got it sorted!
I have no idea, sorry. Mine doesn't, but a setting to have a sound play may exist, I can't say I remember one though!
