I did get a raise at work. retail therapy might be just what the doctor ordered, and now I can pay for it.

Lucky guy.

I will definitely take you up on that... but I first need to know exactly where you live. The last time I wandered the streets, knocking on random doors to find you didn't work out so well :P

I totally know where that is! awesome. What nights are good for you to hang out, maybe go grab dinner. Are there any good bars in RWC?

Ouch, sorry to hear. You have some good logic there, and it sounds like you are headed in the right direction.

its good that you guys were able to rationally work it out but i know that it still hurts no matter how right it may seem. *hugs to you* just be strong and lean on your friends, im sure you will get through it.

It's very odd to rationally know that this is the right thing, and truely the only option that will work out, but still feel the normal hurt of a break up.

and I can't even fall back on the "hate" that is usually so useful to help a person get over a break up, becuase I have none.

I'm sorry for your hurting. Breakups are never pleasant. Thankfully, you are both mature people and won't be going out of your way to hurt each other more.

About the same issues coming up, that is why I never look back on old relationships. Even if both people grow and change, things are never quite the same after a breakup.

Your life would have changed regardless of whether you were single, dating Chuck, or anyone else. What is important is you know what you want and you can now do whatever you want to get to that happy place in your life again.

That is absolutely my new policy. I had never been in a situation where I reconnected with an ex on this level before. I didn't really know what to expect. but I'm still glad I gave it a chance, because even though it didn't work out, he will still be one of my great loves.

very true. I didn'' mean to imply I was blaming that on him. I was happy to let my life evolve into couple land. It's just that I never quite got that balance right of the real me inside relationship land.
