going into the city tonight. starting work at Lightyear tomorrow, getting a set schedule so I'll know more or less when I'll be in the city and when I'll be home. I'm adding a paying job on top of the internship but that's nowhere near settled yet...my cousin, who worked at Irving Plaza for a while, is trying to get me a job there, taking tickets

Hey... Bob Dylan had to go to England... Paul Simon... well, he's been fucking all over the place... Heck, Mozart making the trip over to Prague... I think that if you go abroad, learn some things, discover a new culture, and pick up some new influences, it can be good for the band in the long run, because if you're a more well-rounded person, you'll make more well-rounded music. The key is just to make sure you stay in some kind of communication w/ your bandmembers so you don't just drift away awkwardly. Good luck! Also, if you promise to bring them all back French wives, they might be more amenable to the idea of you going ;-)
