quilts are awesome, and not difficult! do you have a sewing machine? that's probably the biggest step toward quilt-making success, unless you're really fast at/enjoy handstitching.
1) arrange scraps of cloth in a pretty way, making up a rectangle of whatever size you want. then sew them together, piece by piece 2) choose a fabric for backing and get a rectangle the same size 3) sew together along edges (save one) 4) add batting/stuffing 5) sew up (can also use more cloth to fold over the edges if you don't like that look) 6) stitch all around each patch, to keep the layers together (or you can be lazy and achieve this by sewing some yarn ...tassles through at the corners of patches every few inches)

Is it really easy? I really kind of want to make one. Do you know how many hours it'd take someone that has no idea what they're doing?
