Hello...! Noticed your journal over at habibi's, and wanted to get to know you, as you're one of the few LJers I've seen with family over in Iraq. So, what's your family's story?

I run an invite-only community on LiveJournal called insideiraq, which is for Iraqis, Iraqi expats, those who are going to Iraq, are in Iraq, or are back from Iraq. There are about 100 members so far, with most of the members being either soldiers or contractors, but I would love to have more Iraqis and Iraqi-Americans in the community.

And I am a little hurt that I was not invited to join insideiraq. The Philippines is totally the same thing and, if geography serves me correctly, in the exact same place on the globe - only closer to Iceland. I am discriminated against everywhere I go, even on the internets.
