Time To Start Reading Romance Novels

Like catholicdemon I am writing a romance novel.  I've read a few here and there, read some chick lit, watched almost every movie starring John Cusack.  This does not an experienced romance writer make.

I am in need of recommendations.
Particularly interested in romance novels where kids are a factor.  Blame my co-author for that.  So not looking for the ingenue

My parents have a really great stage magician's guide c. 1975 or so. I think it's the Blackstone magician's book, but not sure.
