what's your favorite movie?

what's a movie that you think i should have seen by now (but i probably haven't)?

i'm not on netflix so i can't do that cool friend sharing feature, i have blockblister.

just saw a movie called You Kill Me last night and it was quite good.

also:
Fido (the feel good zombie film)
Fur

my favorite movie though... that's tough.
here's a list of favorites:

the science of sleep
waking life
everything is illuminated
stranger than fiction

i'm a big movie person so there's tons.

also, i'm with zorah on tarnation and half nelson.

I'm late to the party but have two film degrees behind my recommendations:

what good movies have you seen lately?

Idiocracy - one of the best modern satires!

Dreamgirls

The Illusionist

Notes on a Scandal (2006)

Little Children

what's your favorite movie?

Depends on the context, but I generally say Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) for the artistry and romance. Or Young Einstein (1988).

what's a movie that you think i should have seen by now (but i probably haven't)?

The Science of Sleep is a definite for sure
The Illusionist is also a must!

okay, here's my 2 cents, (even though we don't like the same movies)

fwiw, i did not like the science of sleep.

knowing you, and what you like, you should see blades of glory. (no one else included stupid comedies in their answers!)

knocked up was cute.

in terms of "the best movies":
eternal sunshine of the spotless mind
life is beautiful
notes on a scandal
you've seen amelie, right?
i LOVE "in america"
bent is good, but sad
iron giant (ijah will like that one too)
triplets of belleville

oh, so many more, really. my brain just isn't working so well right now.

you might like music and lyrics, if you haven't already seen it.
