Well, "Wetten dass" is a show where normal people with strange, funny or even interesting skills can go to. They bet that they can do that and they have a celeb (not only German, but international guests. Last time Colin Farell and Angelina Jolie for example) as "bet godfather/mother", meaning when they lost the celeb has to do something they had said before. Mostly something for charity. That show exist since 20 years at least. Very successful as you can see.
