High School Never Ends [Saved by the Bell] - Coming Soon

29 videos!! Considering it was my last year of High School, I'm impressed hehe.

My favorite video this year (of my own):
Just Dance or We're Gonna Win. Just Dance because I had such high hopes for the concept and spent, what seemed like, half my life ripping over 100 movies. In the end 76 movies managed to feature within the 4 minute video, with many many more movies not even making it into the finished version. The editing was incredible easy to finish and I love the flow of the editing. I actually ended up using this video as sample editing for my University interviews because I was so pleased with the outcome.

We're Gonna Win is my other favourite because its about my greatest obsession; AFL. I have been a hardcore Australian football fan since 2004 and it somehow never occured to me to vid to it. This year I started downloading the games which made it convenient to vid. This video ended up being my favourite of my three Saints videos because of the editing and the concept- being that it was a highlights video from the entire season not just from a stand-out game (which I previously did with My People and Rock Star).

My least favorite video this year:
Suddenly I See. See "My worst video of this year".

My best video this year:
The Fear. The first time I have made a video focused completely on achieving motion that works with the music. I was actually extremely proud of the outcome and, hopefully, in the future, this video can serve as a good learning experience that affects how I edit in the future.

High School Never Ends is the other one that I see as one of my best for 2008. It hasn't been released online yet which means that I can say that without having anyone elses opinion influencing my decision hehe- well except my brother. This video is actually the first video I have completed which is a comprehensive series overview. I ripped close to 800 clips from Saved By the Bell, Saved by the Bell: Hawaiian Style, Saved by the Bell: The Wedding in Las Vegas and Saved by the Bell: The College Years. Thats the most I have EVER ripped for a video. The editing is also something I played around with and hopefully that comes through.

My worst video this year:
Suddenly I See. The editing is crap. Its a sweet video about one of my favourite movies- but I didn't utulise the potential song, if that makes sense. I felt there was so much more I could have done- editing wise...which dissapoints me because I actually made it for someone else.

Video most underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion:
Antidote. I LOVE this video. To me, this video is kinda the essence of the editing I love to do. Fun, crazy, happy videos. However, pretty much no love was shown to this video. Granted it is a fairly unknown fandom, this video is insane and one of my favourites of the fun comedy videos I have done.

Be Yourself. Again, I really love how this video turned out! I really liked how I edited it to match the lyrics, I was actually quite proud upon its completion. However, it didn't recieve much feedback which dissapointed me because I woulda loved to hear what people thought considering I don't do serious videos very often.

Most fun video:
Three way tie hehe. Let it Whip. My favourite of my Whose Line videos because of how incredibly fun it is. The editing ain't bad either, but mostly it was an explosion of all my WLIIA love that had been building and building. This video was something special to me because I have wanted to use the song since I began vidding but never found anything that I thought suited 100%. This was my last proper WLIIA overview video (Peak in Time doesn't count as it was a challenge detailing that I could only 3 eps) and I knew that when I made it so it was all about me using my absolute favourite moments from the show into something that I loved. And I really do hehe.

Don't Ask Me. The resurgence of my SNL obsession. This was made right after James Franco's episode of SNL (who is one of my favourite actors) and I just had all that mushy SNL love and I HAD to make a video. This ended up being my best SNL video and was all about me using my favourite moments from Seasons 33 and 34, and utulising my favourite cast members and hosts into a short and fast-paced fun little video hehe.

We're Gonna Win. AFL in a nutshell. This video was like one big inside joke for me, like all the moments in there were all moments I remembered throughout the season and decided that I had to include them! One of my favourite things when vidding is using moments in fandoms that I have massive love for...plus, it gave me an excuse to show love to my favourite players which resulted in me featuring them in highlights that weren't particularly highlights just things they did that I thought were cool :P

Yeah, you can tell from my choices that my three favourite things/obsessions are AFL, SNL and WLIIA.

Hardest video to make:
The Fear. 5 minutes of motion attentive editing is really tedious and takes FOREVER. Plus it was something I had never tried before so that made it hard to complete. Plus the source material was really hard to get a handle on because I had only seen the movie a handful of times (compared to a lot of other movies I choose to vid).

Most unintentionally telling video:
Apologize. A rare tearjerker video from me. And thats intentional because I feel I suck at them but this one recieved some extremely positive feedback that I was really overwhelmed with. The song is common and over-used in the vidding world, so I completed the video not expecting much of an emotional response but, as I said, I was pleasantly suprised.

Single favourite edited sequence  in a video I made this year:
0:00-0:05 in Don't Ask Me. Its not amazing, I just love it. Oh and my single favourite dancing sequence in Just Dance is the "Get Over It" moment at 2:38-2:41. Plus I love the Zac Efron clip at 2:58 on the lyric 'Let's Go!'.

Vidding in 2008:
Meh. Not bad...I got better as the year went on. I really wanna get a lot better though.

Vidding in 2009:
Get better I guess. Editing, song interpretation, symbolism, motion. All of that needs work..

Vidding Projects in the Works Right Now:
Working on a fluff Serendipity video that may never see the light of day due to my extreme inability to edit the source material. Also a Silver/Dixon 90210 video that I uploaded a preview of on youtube and then managed to completely abandon the desire to complete it. I however will try my best to finish it. Oh and a Friday Night Lights video which is in its final rendering faze- hopefully. .
